This will be the first meeting between these two teams and it should have an immediate impact on the XSFL North Division standings. Both teams are considered front runners in the league and after the dust settles on the 3rd, the winner will have the edge in the race for the #1 playoff seed!

Gladiators 2.18.12 Recap vs. Anderson Red Dawgs
The North Georgia Gladiators defeated the Anderson Red Dawgs 33-2 on a rainy Georgia Saturday Night. The smothering G-Men defense forced 3 safeties in the first quarter. The Red Dawgs QB rarely had time to get off a pass attempt. The Gladiators missed out on several interceptions due to the rainy conditions and slick football but former North Forsyth standout Steven Hester picked off a Red Dawgs pass late in the game and returned it inside the 30 yard line. The defensive front kept the Red Dawgs QB on his back for most of the game. Other defensive standouts were Rashud Arthur, Darin Damron and Chris Young. Young batted down several Red Dawg pass attempts. The offense was forced to stick to the ground attack but it didn't bother the Gladiators. Bo Harris scored 3 rushing TDs and another hometown hero Joey Vicary added a rushing TD late in the game. 8 different Gladiators helped pound on the Red Dawg defense. Former North Forsyth player Jonathan Sharp added an extra point in the 4th quarter. More stats to follow later this week!
